Colourful sunrise from Kilronan Harbour, Aran Islands

Set sail from Rossaveal Harbour, County Galway and embark on a journey that will take you around the stunning Galway Bay. Your skipper will then sail you out to the rugged Atlantic beauty that is Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands. You’ll strike land with time for exploration and dining before a tranquil overnight stay on Kilronan Harbour.

Inis Mor is the largest of the Aran Islands. On all of the islands, Irish is the primary language, but English is understood. Although Inis Mor as a whole is magnificent, there are some key areas not to be missed such as Dun Aengus (Dun Aonghasa)a fort situated at the edge of an 100 meters high cliff would be one of the most known attractions on the Island or The Worm Hole, a natural rectangular shaped pool into which the sea ebbs and flow at the bottom of the cliffs south of Dún Aonghasa.  After a day of exploring finish it off nicely at Ti Joe Watty’s where they will offer you a ‘Ceád Milé Failté’. Here you can enjoy some locally sourced food and maybe even a pint Guinness or two.

Dinner and exploring the island is up to you, but your skipper will point you in the right direction. Don’t miss this opportunity to save on a truly memorable experience. The islands offer some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, but don’t forget the saying “it’s the journey that counts”.

This trip includes lunch and an Irish breakfast aboard the yacht, as well as a light tea before setting sail.
